The New Associations
Incorporation Act 2015
What you need to know - all in one place
WACOSS has partnered with the Department of Commerce, through a grant from the Department of Finance, to supplement the support that the Department of Commerce is providing to the sector around the Associations Incorporation Act 2015, which took effect from 1 July 2016.
You have until the end of June 2019 to update your constitution to bring it into line with the requirements of the Act. Now is a good time to start!
We have put together the 'Testing your Associations Knowledge' quiz (click on the 'Take Quiz' button above to access this), to test your knowledge about the Act, as well as guide you to further information and resources with regard to incorporated associations. The further information and resources in the quiz are also listed here on this site, for ease of access.
If you have any questions at all about the information provided here, or would like to talk to someone at WACOSS about the changes and what they mean for you, please don't hesitate to call WACOSS on 9420 7222, or email email@example.com
WACOSS services are also available to support you in meeting the requirements of the new Act. We can arrange a briefing for your Board; we provide a 'quick scan' service to advise you on bringing your constitution into line with the new Act; and we can arrange a full review and update of your constitution.
