Customised Training sessions
For networks who are thinking about using DropIN or for those who have already started, WACOSS can provide customised training to either introduce the platform or upskill your network members. We can provide any of the scheduled training sessions listed above, or we can design a specialised training session tailored for your network. These sessions can either be delivered on-site for a small cost or via our advanced webinar technology at no charge.
On-Site
Many network groups might like to combine a DropIN training session as part of their regular network meetings. In this case, we can arrange for one of the DropIN team to come out to your network group meeting and present on site.
Duration: 45 - 120 minutes
Cost: $250.00
Equipment: Presenters will bring their own laptops and internet; however we ask that the network group provide a projector and projector screen. If participants will be doing functional training then it is suggested that they bring their own laptops and a venue with wifi is booked.
To request an On-Site training session with us, click on ‘Request Training’ below and a member of the DropIN team will be in contact to confirm or availability and the details of the presentation.
Webinar
For networks or community groups who would like to get started using DropIN however do not have funds to cover on-site training, we can provide a free training session via our webinar technology! Webinars are a simple and cost effective tool to train your network and can be run as part of your network meeting or at a time which is convenient for your network members.
To run a webinar as part of your network meeting we will create a private webinar link between the DropIN team and the network meeting organiser. At the network meeting a computer with connection to good internet will need to be connected to a projector, speakers and microphone. From this computer, the network meeting organiser will enter the webinar via the private webinar link and the presenter from the DropIN team will appear on the screen. From here the network members will be able to see and hear the presenter and the presenter will be able to share their screen with the group. The network group will be free to ask questions in the same way that they would if the presentation was presenting on-site.
Another way to run the training webinar is for participants to enter the webinar individually from their own work stations or home office. In this case a private group webinar link will be created and each of the network members will be invited to register for the webinar via email. Participants do not require special software or equipment such as microphones; a laptop or computer with good internet and speakers will be sufficient. At the time of the webinar, each network member will enter the webinar via the individual link created when they registered. From here they will be able to see and hear the presenter and the presenter will be able to share their screen with every participant of the webinar. The network group will be muted during the webinar however will be free to ask questions via the chat webinar chat function.
Duration: 45-60 minutes (an additional 45 minutes is required for functional training)
Cost: Free
Equipment:
- Laptop
- Speakers
- Good internet connection
- Computer microphone*
- Projector and projector screen*
*Only required for groups that will view the webinar as a group.
