The City of Perth Homeless Services in the Inner City Directory has been updated and reprinted and is now available. Here
The directory is a “one stop shop” self help information guide for homeless persons or those at risk of homelessness that require information on where to seek assistance and for agencies assisting homeless persons or those at risk of homelessness.
The directory contains the following information:
· Quick telephone contacts including emergency, accommodation and
refuges, outreach assistance for rough sleepers, general and crisis
counselling, health and medical.
· Listing of organisations by service offered and location map.
· Low cost meals.
· Medical, Department of Human Services (Centrelink) and legal
· Guide to assisting homeless people in public places.
The self help directory advises persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to seek support from one of the three Day Centres located in the inner city. The Day Centres provide a range of support services to help persons dealing with homelessness. These day centres are: Ruah Day Centre, Tranby Day Centre, Passages Resource Centre (Youth 12 to 25 years).
Copies will be distributed directly to organisations. In addition the Homeless Services in the Inner City Directory will be distributed through the City of Perth Customer Service Desk, City of Perth Library, i-city Kiosk, Citiplace Community Centre and Citiplace Rest Centre and by the City of Perth Community Services team.
