Masterclasses

These three Masterclasses will build on the Empowering and Transforming Lives Forum where agencies, consumers and carers will all have a chance to hear the latest international developments and share local insights on self-directed services. The Masterclasses will provide an opportunity to take the learning from the Forum and apply it in particular sectors.

Masterclass 1: Designing Self-Directed Support for Children in Care - Tuesday 28 February 2017
Explore how Self-Directed Support has helped children in care and their families achieve long term outcomes, including why this approach makes good economic sense. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to consider pragmatic solutions and individualized self-directed planning approaches including the use of individualised budgets.
